Joey Gilbert to Talk at Upcoming Reno Seminar About Dental Laws & Cannabis

Nevada has recently legalized some forms of cannabis products for personal, recreational use. Federal law still views marijuana, cannabis, and hemp as Schedule I drugs, though, which means possessing any amount of those substances is technically a federal crime. This conflict of state-level and federal-level statutes has resulting in a wide variety of misunderstandings, questions, and concerns.

Attorney Joey Gilbert of Joey Gilbert Law is a renowned Reno attorney for his understanding of civil government affairs, policies, and complex regulations. He will be a keynote speaker at an upcoming seminar in Reno to discuss how cannabis regulations and preexisting dental laws interact in the state. If you have a dental office, or act as a physician for similar practices, then you are definitely going to want to be in attendance at the seminar.

Joey will be discussing the topic and accepting questions and comments throughout the seminar. The main points of discussion are expected to be recreational marijuana and the laws that apply to it in regards to use in workplace environments, as well as how it pertains to patient consent. He also plans to touch upon employee cases that have made it to court since the legalization of cannabis, examining the rulings made in those cases to see how they should reflect on any cases upcoming. Perhaps most importantly, Attorney Gilbert will explore whether or not a dentist can lose their DEA license for using recreational cannabis in their own free time.

The seminar is planned to take place on March 8th, 2018. Event details are being finalized.
