Attorney Sean Neahusan is a seasoned criminal defense attorney at Joey Gilbert Law. Known as an experienced and compassionate trial attorney with a genuine desire to help those he represents, Sean believes that communication is one of the most important parts of an attorney-client relationship.
Mr. Neahusan is a former assistant district attorney with the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked for seven years. In this capacity, he handled approximately 1,000 criminal cases per year on average and completed a CUI assessment course through the Nevada Highway Patrol. He also worked as a corrections officer at the Utah State Prison for four years.
Mr. Neahusan earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Utah Valley University and later went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2008. He chose to focus on criminal law because of his love for the United States Constitution and state and federal statutes.
An active participant in the legal community, Mr. Neahusan is a member of the American Bar Association, the State bar of Nevada, and the Washoe County Bar Association. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, six children, and his foster nephew. He also serves on his church’s scout committee and coaches children’s baseball and basketball teams.
