Read your Prescription Labels
Nevada state law allows for a person to be arrested for, and convicted of, a DUI even if their blood alcohol level is below 0.08 at the time of the arrest (NRS 484C.110.2c). If a person is found to be impaired by medications alone, or a combination of medications and alcohol, they are just as vulnerable to a DUI arrest as a driver whose blood alcohol level is above 0.08. It is important to speak to your physician, and read medication labels, to ensure that you are aware of any potential effects, especially if you plan to consume alcohol while taking the medication.
